Parent Advisory Committee
The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) of Friends To Parents (FTP) is a currently enrolled Parent Group required by the California Department of Education, Office of Child Development, organized to afford parents' representation in their children's daycare service. The Committee is mainly comprised of parents, but can also include any other individuals affiliated with the school (e.g., teachers, caregivers, and Board Members) who are interested in becoming involved in helping to work towards the betterment of the FTP facility.
We usually meet on the second Wednesday of the month in the Teacher's Lounge (during pandemic, on Zoom) at 6:30pm to 7:30pm (variable hours during pandemic). Pre-pandemic, sign-up sheets were available in the classrooms one week before the meeting. Prepandemic, with in-person meetings, childcare including dinner for the children were provided free of charge. For questions, please call Juliette Gallero in the administrative office: 650-588-8212
Over the years, the members of PAC along with parents and supportive FTP staff have worked hard to generate money for safe upkeep and upgrades to the school facilities. The annual Silent Auction continues to provide support for infrastructure improvement and help with curriculum enhancement activities.
